Lester B. Pearson was Canadian’s Prime Minister back in the sixties and he was succeeded by Pierre Trudeau. Pearson was a World War I vet who won a Nobel Peace Prize in 1957 for his actions in the Suez Canal and is considered the father of the modern concept of peacekeeping. On this Canada Day we stand up against militarism, and war. Going back into Iraq will do nothing but create waste and destruction. Before I made this, I knew nothing of Mike Pearson, as he was known, and now I know he was a great man of peace. Happy Canada Day. Share if you agree.
